Paving slabs are easy to maintain and available in a wide range of sizes, colours, shapes and sizes. Although a stone slab path will take longer to install, the results are well worth the extra wait. FAQ's & Other Information
Depending on your budget, we would always recommend a natural stone. The provide an excellent combination of durability and aesthetics. If you are wanting to spend a little less then there are numerous block paving options and combinations which can acheive a fantastic look, feel and finish.
We would recommend preventative maintenace for your patio and garden path surfaces. This includes regular hosing down to remove surface debris and grime. An annual jet wash is always a good idea, particularly for block paved surfaces. Removal of any weeds as and when they appear to ensure that they dont spread their seedlings is also something that you should consider. For block paving in particular, it may be necessary to resand the joints where sand has been washed out, this will ensure that they remain stable and in place.
It really depends on the type of paver that has been installed. If you have opted for a natural stone or Indian sandstone paving slab then we would suggest that you can avoid a sealant. If you have opted for block paving, then a sealant is something which you could consider in order to mitigate any long-term staining or fade from excessive sunshine.
